    Default Weird Turbo Boost

So I installed Turbo Boost Monitor and it jumps from 2.00GHz to 3.00GHz like crazy.

If I open my browser - it shoots up, and then drops to energy saver every couple of seconds. Even if I'm idle.

    Is this normal?

Yes, it's totally normal. If you want it to remain static, you can disable c-states with a modded BIOS. This is nothing to be concerned about.

Static is not the concern, but for it to jump like crazy so often like that is concerning.
Even in game, I have a feeling the clocks are jumping.

that monitor is not 100% correct from my experience. Better using a program like hwinfo or cpu-z.
