There are a few threads on these topics, I'll tell you what I have after doing a ton of research

    USB Sound Processor:

Amazon.com: NuForce Icon uDAC-2 (Silver) Headphone Amp and USB DAC (24bit/96kHz): Electronics

    Gaming Headset:

Amazon.com: ASTRO Gaming A40 Audio System (Black): Electronics

That said, do a search on the site and I'm sure you're going to have more options, all I can say is that the sound quality you get from the uDAC-2 is so incredibly better than anything ANY laptop has to offer... it's that much better, pair that up with the Astro A40 and you got yourself Top Notch sound, sure it's expensive, but quality isn't cheap, probably why you bought an M18x to begin with

I just received the astro a40 wireless system yesterday and for a gaming headset it is outstanding. I use it with my Xbox but it can be used with pc aswell. I was using the turtle beach px5 and these a40s are just so much nicer, comfort wise and sound wise.

I STRONGLY recommend you get the G35 Logitech headset. I love it and most of the people who buy it even buy another one after theirs breaks after 2 years.

I went with the Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 and absolutely love it

I also, when I bought my laptop, got the Internal High-Definition 5.1 Performance Audio with SoundBlaster X-Fi Audio option and love the sound through the speakers or headphones

A price range that you are willing to spend and a purpose for what you would be using your headset for would be appreciated. Depending on how much you are willing to spend and whether you want an audio set up simply for games vs. music/movies will change what we might recommend.

Well, as M18X owner I should say ''Price doesnt matter'' but I think that 100 euro would be cool

    Ok - Thanks for answers.

I made choose and I decided to buy G35.

i have a pair of senheiser hd555 (modded to 595) combined with an astro mixamp.
my only regret is wasting money on other headsets prior to this combo.

If you need over the ear headphones, their P5's are tough to beat.
