Re: Alienware m18x screen refresh rate
Yea I use my PS 3D display as an extra monitor whenever I want to play 3D sc2 LOL it's cool, refresh rate is hardly noticeable vs a good 60hz monitor.. Remember that this is a TV and will not have the great 2ms response time.
If you don't play 3D or want one for your play station, don't get the 3D tv go with a good Samsung with better color and build quality, I used to moonlight a job at best-buy and only 1 in 5 ps tvs didn't have something wrong with the panel.

Re: Alienware m18x screen refresh rate
Excluding the 3D screens on a small hand full of laptops available, there is hardly any laptop display made that has a refresh rate more than 60. Turn off vsynch in your games and your frame rates should increase. The M17x R3 is a downgrade in build quality and hardware performance, so if you're looking for higher FPS, that's going to take you in the wrong direction. If having a better and more powerful laptop is important, stick with the M18x and get an external display as others are recommending.
