Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread - Part 2
Guys,
I've got a small issue: I flashed my GPUs to my desired clocks (stock voltage) - but now my slave 7970M is basically sitting @ 400/1400 @ 1.05v at 2d load while my Master 7970M acts normally (300/150 @ 0.85v). This results in a much higher GPU temp obviously while idling - when I leave the cards at stock clocks, everything is fine.
Any ideas?M18X R2 I7 3920XM CFX HD7970 2X4Go 1866C10 Samsung 830 256Go Red Nebula Dell 3011

Hello Riri-Fifi. Hope you are doing well.
If I am not mistaken, you noticed issues with one of the GPUs not running within specs quite some time ago and posted screen shots showing that. Flashing did not help back then either if I am remembering what you posted. I think your secondary GPU is having issues and may need to be replaced. I received replacement 7970M video cards and returned them to Dell. That was one of the reasons I returned them. Both of those video cards were acting similar to your secondary GPU. Both were out of spec on voltage and clock speeds. One was higher than normal and the other was lower than normal. One was out of spec on 3D mode and the other was out of spec on 2D mode. (They also had other issues that made them unusable.)Alienware M18x R1 v2.0 | Intel Core i7 3920XM @ 4.8GHz | NVIDIA GTX 680M SLI

Sorry I guess I should have stated that that is stock gpu clock but CPU is set to level 3 overclock in bios with no other modding of values.
Posted a quick video of my m18x r2 with battlefied maxed , not the best quality but ok i guess.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread - Part 2
Probably wanted to capture real frame rates using a camera instead of the reduced frame rates when recording screen output.

Yes, that is to be expected when screen recording. It's not quite as bad with MSI Afterburner's screen recording software, but still a significant drop in frame rate.
