It works for gaming but I wouldn't do it. I use 902/1100 as my gaming clocks.

    Nice run, BrickTop.

For you and other 680M SLI owner's with "Generic VGA" systems, please add a link to your score and system specs in this thread:

    Nvidia GPUs Detected as GenericVGA

Futuremark will update their database so your systems are correctly recognized and named appropriately. This same issue was present when 7970M CF was released. I posted the issue and it was fixed in less than 48 hours. The next benchmark result that I registered only correctly identified my video cards.

Hey Mr Fox. thanks for the link.

If you note the run by Nikos that was posted earlier: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3920XM Processor Extreme Edition,Alienware M18xR2 score: P35994 3DMarks his CPU is listed at running at nearly 4.3Ghz which is correct.

On my run here: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3920XM Processor Extreme Edition,Alienware M18xR2 score: P32357 3DMarks i'm running at only 3.6Ghz even though I have level 1 OC loaded. Should the CPU report show 4.1? Something is limiting my CPU from running full speed?

Something is limiting my CPU from running full speed?
No, not necessarily. That could be true, but this benchmark is not the right way to tell. The Futuremark System Information app captures a snapshot of things and if the snapshot is captured while the CPU is running 3.6GHz even though it might turboboost up to 4.1GHz or higher, the benchmark will only reflect the speed of the CPU at the moment the information was captured. No reason to be concerned about it, because it does not change your benchmark score. You would have to disable c-states (not possible with a locked BIOS, unless XTU allows you to do that,) to force your CPU to run at constant max in order to avoid that.

The limit to what your CPU speed capacity is affected by several things. This will be affected by what your multipliers are set at, along with being affected by voltage and amps. If the voltage or amps are set too low, the multiplier settings might not be achieved. Also, depending on how your multipliers are set, the CPU may slow down as more cores are put to use. If you set a Dell Level 1 you will see multiplier speeds staggered and getting progressively lower as more cores are active. You would need to set them all equal to avoid the CPU from downclocking as more cores are employed.
