Re: ***M18x - AMD Crossfire (Driver Questions, Performance, Problems) Discussion Thread***
Is it possible to run 12.3 CAP1 with the 12.2 preview drivers?
Also, to TheMacs or whoever else this may apply too, have you tested the 12.2 preview against the dell optimized drivers? I currently have the optimized drivers and don't want to switch unless i have some empirical evidence of an improvement.

***M18x - AMD Crossfire (Driver Questions, Performance, Problems) Discussion Thread***
I get significantly better framerates in BF3, Skyrim, Witcher 2 and Crysis 2, CCC just didn't want to work with the optimized driver, and I find my overall performance is better.
Pretty basic troubleshooting fixed it. I shut down, pulled the battery (just in case) and flipped it upside down while I went to get groceries. When I rebooted I had to toggle Xfire in CCC to get both cards, but the issue is gone. What is this, I don't even...

Re: ***M18x - AMD Crossfire (Driver Questions, Performance, Problems) Discussion Thread***
I just installed the 12.2 preview. Crysis 2 seemed to run a bit better, I will see how they preform in the Tera Online open beta this weekend and some battlefield 3. The pair of replacement cards I got for my old cards blow them out of the water, its pretty ridiculous. Full load temps barely reach 70 degrees.
Anyway, checking out for the night. Thanks for the response.

Re: ***M18x - AMD Crossfire (Driver Questions, Performance, Problems) Discussion Thread***
I am pretty much done with my M18x there is nothing wrong with my hardware, just finding the best drivers to run with my system. Does anyone have any feedback for 6970m crossfire, and what the best setup for that is. I have the A05 bios but I read that I don't need that because I have a 6970m crossfire. When ever I try to go back to the dell drivers I uninstall, and then do a driver sweep, I install the drivers but then when I load windows all the colors are messed up, washed up and just look weird. Please help before, I just pack up my M18x leave it and just play xbox.

Use 12.2 Preview.
As far as the screen, make sure you run DriverSweeper AND CCleaner in safe mode before you install new drivers. What is this, I don't even...

Re: ***M18x - AMD Crossfire (Driver Questions, Performance, Problems) Discussion Thread***
Alright so I'm having a bit of fun with tech support right now, i recently sent my computer in because i was getting a 7 beep post code. I also told them about my issue with my fans essentially "locking" at 30% power and my cards overheating. I was hoping they would they would look in to it but no such luck. So now after talking to them again they're going to replace both my cards, the only thing is i don't know if its actually a hardware or software issue and i don't really want to play hot potato with tech support until they replace everything in my system
I'm going to ask them to wipe my system and re-flash and re-install everything, anything else i should add?

Best Drivers for ATI 6990 Crossfire
Hi all,
What are the best drivers currently for the ATI 6990 xfire cards. Is it ATI owns or Dell's.
What are your thoughts.
And currently to install non dell drivers currently you have to install the dell driver first, as if you switch between ATI and Intel card you will get a ATI CCC error, when switched to Intel GPU.
Or has someone solved this issue?
Does anyone know when the Dell driver will finish beta,

Re: Best Drivers for ATI 6990 Crossfire
I just updated my drivers from the Dell driver to the AMD/ATI driver yesterday (12-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc) and everything works perfectly.
I did an auto-detect and install from -=-

Re: Best Drivers for ATI 6990 Crossfire
But when you boot into discret GPU, do you have the ATI CCC loading failed. I have only noticed this if you latest from fresh an ATI drive but not if you install a dell deriver first then upgrade or does anyone know how to get round this ATI CCC fail on a fresh installation?
