Hardware for SSD install? 8g 1333 vs 1666?
I was lucky enough to grab an outlet m18x with dual 6990's. I wanted everything else pretty much stock to keep price down so it only has 1 320 hdd. I have a 120g SSD I will install once my computer gets here next week. My question is do I need to order any hardware such as a sata ribbon to install the second drive? Or does it have eveything I need in the bay.
It also came with 8g of 1333 vs the 8g of 1666 I was hoing for. Anyone swap out their 1333? Notice an improvement?

No hardware needed just make sure the hd is 9.6mm not the standard 12mm, but in your case the SSD is already 9.6 mm which should pose no problem

What CPU do you have? I think the 2630QM only supports 1333MHz so even if you put in 1600MHz or 1866MHz it will still only run at 1333MHz.

Then maybe go for the 1600MHz, not sure about the performance increase though as I'm still waiting on mine. Putting a 120GB Intel 510 SSD and 16GB of 1866MHz into it when it gets here though.

2630QM and up support 1866 or even 2133. You just need to set a profile for it or buy the PnP version.
