now if that worked..that would be great news..since software can just about accurately monitor the voltage. no need to solder read points either.

Is it possible to undo any work with it? Wash it off? I may use it instead of pin modding my M11x R1 if it is possible.

Also, on the CPU, where the pen has been used at the edge? what was the point of that particular mod?

On most of them they can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol (just don't apply a trace sealer as recommended).

You can use Pin grabbers which are effective in clinging onto chip legs if the spacing between each leg is sufficient enough.

Chips for VRM's come in all shapes and sizes. I haven't looked at the chip in question here, if the spacing is sufficient you can use this. Those grabbing points are very small once they are retracted into a tight vice.

was checking out the mod myself...only problem is...if you mess up one time...your done and have to buy new cards. also..was wondering if pencil modding could work instead of soldering...
And Oh boy am I looking forward to it ... if these pens and such work though, the next step might be modding ... I am actually considering it now

yessir.... kind of hard explaining extra solder on your cards for rma. and most people will try to rma it. also has a 50/50 chance....they take it or they void ones warranty and send it back as is or ask you to pay for new cards...all depends on what tech is working that day.

hummmm..like to see how your going to put that on a m18xr1 gpu pcb with the laptop closed up. but hey...you are the man if you can!
good for testing...but if it slips off and hits a component..there goes your 3k laptop. me...i did that with a 600 dollar desktop card...
