Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread
please only use the in-game 32bit version benchmark gpu batch file and not 3rd party program. first run the game in 32bit mode and ensure all are very high spec and no AA. the 64bit version runs the game slower for some reason so just stick with 32bit.
here is mine with 825 core / 1000 mem on the gpu clocks but with stock 2720qm cpu.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread
No, I think it was just one of those lucky days that I had a great benchmark score. All conditions were just perfect at the time. I was running a driver-only installation without CCC and registry was hacked to force CFX to be permanently enabled, no PowerPlay throttling capabilities, etc. I was also using RadeonPro to disable all AMD "features" that slow things down. I no longer have that set of 6970s in my system and the cards I have right now are defective.
I ran another Heaven benchmark today after I posted my previous best and I cannot get a score that high even overclocked with my current 6970s. See attached for today's benchmark with 805/1075 clocks. (If I go higher than this with the current 6970s my system locks up and throws a BSOD in Heaven benchmark.) The attached Crysis benchmark was run on 08/12/2011 at stock clock speeds with the same set of 6970s that produced the higher Heaven benchmark score that you were commenting about.Last edited by Mr. Fox; 12th September 2011 at 01:43 AM.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread
the benchmark batch file you used was the 64bit version. that version runs slow for some reason. i got about 15% better fps than you but that is with about a 15% gpu overclock so it makes sense.

i would be very curious to see what you get with the 32bit batch file. i assume you did not mess with registry or catalyst.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M18x Benchmark Thread
umm, no you didn't...
.. i think your seeing things..
and that is 32 bit on all runs.
and the last one is with 8xAA/Full AF plus full motion blur/ plus use application settings/ catalyst Ai high quality.
your run has none of that applied. and you can see my ccc settings right in the picture. along with forced motion blur which everyone tries to turn off for more fps in the bench.
go match that run and see what you come back with.2960XM/680M/R1 MB for sale
