    Default Alienware M17x R4 - a few questions

    Hello friends,

I am a newb here and was wondering if anyone could answer the following questions:

    1. Is it possible to install the Intel 520 series ssd in this laptop?
    2. I intend to use this for Maya and other 3D modelling software, does 16 gb ram help or is 8 enough?
    3. How I can get a discount on the Alienware 17r4 in the UK

Any help around this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll try to answer your questions.

    1. Yes.
    2. I'm not familiar with Maya so I'm not sure if 8GB is enough.

I found a massive discount by googling alienware discount and came across this:
Alienware M17x - Compare the Deals - Alienware Discount Coupons
The one i got isnt on their now but i managed to pick up an m17x R4 for about 600 pound cheaper than it should have been at the spec i wanted. those links arent set in stone. when you click the laptop you are interested in it takes you to the customisation page. It let me add a 7970m to mine for only 50 pound extra
