Before I ask my cousin to make an account. I heard prices went up. Can anyone confirm the price for this set-up.

    Alienware m17x R4 base config
    Ivy Bridge
    7970m upgrade
    1080p upgrade
    + discount code

    Thanks!

Yea, I just checked and it looks like the prices went up. My config (i7 3720, 500GB, 7970M, DVD, 1080P, 6GB RAM) that I got for $1211 now costs. $2,075.80.

Looks like the increased the CPU upgrade prices a lot too. To go from 3610 to 3720 was originally a $9 upgrade. Now its a $436 upgrade. I also removed Microsoft Office which saved $199 and now it only saves $149.25

So glad I ordered when I did!

Thanks for the reply. You're so lucky I guess deal is somewhat dead then. So bummed out right now Just when I'm about to contact my cousin, the prices went up. I was going to try and sell my current R3 I bought 3 weeks ago even for $200 loss so I can get the same thing you just ordered.. I think it's worth it for the upgrades plus its brand new.

Lesson learned. NEVER keep looking for deals after a purchase. lol

UPDATE: As of May 10 prices went up $200. Still a good deal, but not as good as it was on 8-9 May.

So good for everyone who didn't wait and ordered. As I suspected AAFES decided to deal with fakes by raising prices. And that's boys and girls why you don't do this. By trying to cheat the system you only screw yourself and every other military man and woman.

Interesting question now, since we seem to have gotten a deal where prices were incorrect, I wonder if they will honor them. I still haven't seen the status where it was submitted to Dell and my card charged. It is sitting at processing.

I really don't think it's that - I think their initial prices were a mistake. The crazy AAFES sale on R3's last year wasn't as good as these prices. I really think somewhere along the line someone screwed up inputting the prices.

Yea. I think it was a mistake too I mean c'mon, $9 to upgrade from 3610 to 3720? At least it was a mistake I capitalized on

It looks like they are working on the site so I'd check back in an hour or two. Right now there is no option to remove the Microsoft office, which saved me $200. Also now the default option for warranty is basic 2 year, which is included on the price so there is no one year warranty option. Maybe they ran out of 1 year warranty
