Let me know what you guys think on price , I was pretty hapy with this and it does have the 7970.

Thats a solid machine, or at the moment the most powerful M17x with single GPU 8-}.
Cant wait till you get your laptop and maybe do a few benchmark runs

Edit: oh yeah didnt notice the screen. Get a 1080P screen and never look back.

Do yourself a massive favour and save yourself some heartache and get the 1080p screen. what is it? $90 extra.

Hey, so Im looking to order the m17x r4 (or r3.5? Haha) and I can't decide between the AMD or the Nvidia GPUs.

Is the Nvidia 3d worth the price of the card plus screen?

Or should I get the AMD, the allegedly faster card?

The 7970m will be faster. I like the 120Hz screen. It is brighter and really cool. It's up to you. Or you could wait until when the GTX 680m comes out. Then the real competition heats up.

No one on the outside knows. The only information is speculative.

7970M currently is the fastest card in the mobile space on paper, but when the 680M arrives in 2-3 months it will be faster and (probably) more expensive.
