Re: Skyrim discussion thread
I'm using 11.10 latest one I think. What are your exact exact settings and tweaks in the ini file?
Also you must have some slowdown in towns like Whiterun, especially looking down at it from the top at Dragonsreach.
Max clocks I can go are the ones in my sig as temps become an issue.M17X R3 - i7-2920XM OEM@4Ghz - AMD 7970M - 8GB HyperX@1866Mhz

Re: Skyrim discussion thread
No slowdowns at all, except for situation described bellow. Its been 17 hrs and i've trekked across a nice chunk of the map, gone into multiple caves, towns, killed my first dragon etc...so if its going to slowdown, i would have experienced by now. No slowdowns anywhere
The one sore point i did have was that the companion seems to cause lag in certain places when i installed a few mods to make the game look better for PC. I experiemented with clocks, went up to 830/1250. Game did not lag in those areas with my companion anymore. I bumped my clocks down to 780/1050 (no need for more) and visually, to my eyes, no difference from 830/1250 so i left it there.
I'm running the Ultra preset, 4xaa, 16af...no tweaks to ini...cats 11.10 wsqlM17x R3 | i7 2820 | AMD 7970M | 12 GIGS DDR3-1333 | Crucial M4 SSD 128gig | 320 GIG 7200RPM | 1920x1080 60HZ | Sound Blaster X-FI usb

Re: Skyrim discussion thread
I'm having a couple bugs, but nothing too bad.
Sometimes I crash right to desktop.
More often than not I get soundcard skipping and complete system failure. I don't think this is Skyrim though...I think it is the m17x-r2, as I have seen this crash before.
The only really annoying bug so far is that I found a dragon, and each time I fight him - typically when he is almost dead - the whole system crashes with that sound bug.M17X-R2 - Metallic Black | Intel i7 940xm | 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ | ATI6970m 2GB | OCZ 128gb SSD | 1920x1200 WUXGA | A10 Modded BIOS | Win7 Pro
