Guys, let's put BF3 signature like I did, like this it's easier for us to play together.

    Hi everybody,
I am having an issue with my Alienware M17x R2 and Battlefield 3 and I don´t know how to resolve it. So before buying BF3, I had the original graphics driver installed on my system (never did anything on that). However, Origin or BF3 told me that I should update my driver and i downloaded the new catalyst driver (Version 2011.1012.1625.27603) and when I installed it I got a bluescreen. I could only reboot and remove the driver in safe mode. I installed it again and now, when changing something in the settings I get another bluescreen. I don´t know whats wrong. Which driver should I get for my system and how do I uninstall the old one cleanly?
    Thanks so much guys!!!

I think you should update the VBIOS. Have you done that?
It enables you to update to latest AMD driver.

    Drivers and Downloads

    There you go.Hope that helps.

I haven't had much time latelly to test the game, but as far as I tried, i could only play like one minute before it start to lag like hell. Stutter? I don't what it is but it like this => I start MP, beginning is ok (around 30 fps), then when I hear the next level of Fan speed, the game is repeatly freezing for like 1~2 sec (thus unplayable at all).

I did a clean install of CAT 11.10 (with CAP4 from 11.9, but the issue remained exactly the same).
Plus when I try to change display settings ingame, it just freeze and crash (which is the point when i close my m17x-R2, angry...). I unfortunately have no time to debug this, too bad.
Altho I read a lot of post in the thread, I may have missed one giving a olutin, sorry if that is the case

    And thanks anyway
So I tried again desabling Turbo Mode in the bios, but still the same issue, unplayable and annoying... any idea of what I should do, as I'm kind of stuck atm :/

Anyone able to get the new 285.79 Beta drivers working on there 580m system? Oddly enough I can install the official 285.62 no problem but can't get the beta ones to install.

They fix a bunch of stuff for BF3 so it be nice getting them running.

How can I check if my VBIOS is up-to-date? Which version do I need?

    Thanks!

Trying flashing the bios to the modded bios on these forums and over-clocking to the 5% somehow that helped me out immensely but I think it's because it cuts back on the throttling. Worked for me.
