Have you got the latest version of vantage? Make sure you go into the options and select PPU disabled. Your nvidia Physx inflates the CPU score tremendously thus providing biased scores.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M17x Benchmark Thread - Part 4
Got a lower CPU which affected my scores a bit I think, I'll get screenshots later. After a repaste with ICD24 during the benchmarks on the overvolted vbios, the max temp recorded using GPU-z was...wait for it...70C! Tried cranking the clocks to 850/2000 and things crashed but at 822/2004 (reference 560 Ti speeds) I got a GPU score of around 17.4K which is pretty good I think.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Alienware M17x Benchmark Thread - Part 4
Hey guys,
I got my m17x r3 two days ago and got scared after system reading the GPU as hd6970m instead of hd6990m which I ordered, but people said that it was allright because the system only cant read the card properly and since my clocks were 715/900 and I had 1120 unified shaders so it should be fine.
I ran some benchmarks on it and wanted to compare them to other hd6970m and hd6990m to get some easier sleep during the night, but I cant seem to get the search button to work, so could you perhaps tell me how these scores compare? I dowloaded the basic software and ran the basic benchmarks, did no modification.
3DMARK Ventage: P13849 3DMarks
3DMARK 11: P3450 3DMarks
here is rest of my config:
Intel Core i7-2720QM processor (2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.30 GHz)
320 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (2 DIMMs)
2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 6990M
Killer Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO
17.3 inch Wide FHD (1920 x 1080 60Hz) WLED Display
9 Cell Battery
btw: it also happened to me that I ran the benchmark for the second time, right after installing the Ventage and got scores that were like a half of what they are now, I restarted and it went back to normal, so I hope its nothing to worry about
Thanks!
EDIT: just to confirm, when I ran CPU-Z I found out my memory to run at 664,6MHz instead of 1333MHz, but that should be fine since its dual memory (2x2gb) right? Im sorry for this many noobish questions!

James those scores look about right. As for the memory, 666*2=1333

CptXabaras - I'm coming back in the next week or so to reclaim my titles
Going to try and undervolt/overclock my cards, to try and mitigate power supply issues.
