Speaking of storage driver...more to come. Stay tuned.

I should have some tangible updates for you guys later this week on a couple of yet-to-be-identified drivers.

One more thing. I'm seeing a few conflicting posts on whether we have a latency issue on ATI GPU-equipped boxes. Show of hands- who has ATI cards and latency?

Bill, this question is quite hard to answer at least for me since I don't have an acceptable upper limit for latency. So far the only thing that is causing me "red spikes" is the fast scrolling of the PDF files on the laptop monitor at full screen mode(between 1800 and 2250 μs). If I have it though on full screen mode on the external monitor, then I don't have any. If I don't attach an external monitor the latency is double. I can't say for sure that it is a display driver issue or something else since I cannot isolate the source of the problem. In any case this does not affect my audio or causing any kind of troubles, at least for me.

But what if you scroll through a pdf and have music streaming? Any audible dropouts? Any negative impact outside of DPC Lat Chckr?

oops. Just read your last sentence, stamatisx. Nevermind.

I get some occasional stutters in gaming. I did stig's test and only got stutters when pressing eject. Nothing anywhere near as bad as before. But they do exist...

I still get the stutters, very high dpc latency, lockups that I usually have to power off with the power button and restart. I get the stutters when watching a movie, youtube etc., so it didn't fix the problem.

I have had my mainboard replaced and also the nvidia cards replaced with the Ati cards, I have reinstalled the o/s and worked with alienware tech support to load all the drivers etc, still have problems and still working with tech support to get this issue resolved.

So yes I have the ati video cards and still have problems.

Which Chipset drivers do you have installed? From NV or Dell? If from NV, uninstall them, safe mode reg clean using CCleaner and install the NV chipset driver.
