Re: M17x Stutter
Mine is sort of like what you are experiencing. I've never had any stutters during games or movies, only when I'm listening to music in Zune since I'm normally doing other things as well. And it is when I am doing those other things that seem to make it stutter, if I just let it be it doesn't seem to stutter. Though I do have VERY bad dps latency in both Vista and 7, so I'm sure that is the main cause of mine. And XP is not an option for me so I can't see if that helps any.
Are you using the touch strip to adjust your music or the actual mixer? I ask because I have this issue where if I eject a disc with the touch strip my whole system stutters, not just my audio like normal. I had to download a yahoo widget to handle ejecting my discs or go into Computer and right-click eject all the time.Antec 1200 | Asus z77 Sabertooth | intel i5-3570k | MSI PE nVidia GTX 670 | G.Skill 16gb DDR3 | 22" Samsung LED SyncMaster 1080p | Logitech G9x | Razer Anansi, Megalodon, & Orca

Re: M17x Stutter
i'm having stutters when playing music. and my mouse also jumps when it stutters. it's very annoying. it happens every 20-40 secs. and since music has to be perfect to me to listen to, i have to load them to my phone and then play it.

Re: M17x Stutter
Agreed. My wife keeps saying she doesn't notice the stutter, but I sure as hell do. Annoying as _____!

Re: M17x Stutter
one thing I do notice is the hdd light blinks for no reason. On win 7 more then vista. And when it does, the stuttering starts going crazy. Please everyone check your hdd light when you start to stutter.
it's weird. I disabled everything thhat requires the hdd light to blink so I don't know why it does it.
need more testing.

Re: M17x Stutter
Did you disable the Windows Search service? This is what indexes your drive. On a recent OS install, its going to produce quite a bit of drive activity.
Suggest disabling it as its pointless unless you frequently misplace docs, emails, etc on your drive and have to use the CTRL-F keys.
Services.msc ----> Windows Search ----> Stop Service ----> Disabled option in pulldown.

Re: M17x Stutter
The stuttering problem should be obvious for everyone that owns this laptop, I've seen it on 3 different ones now all the same.
Turning off PowerMizer stops the stutters, but idles at 55c instead of 40c.
Apparently long term this is bad.

Re: M17x Stutter
it's still happening to me but I need more hdd space before I go testing crazy. I don't have the free space to do what I would like to.
