Re: M14x R2 and crucial M4 msata
I was just reading that one of the 256GB Crucial models is NOT compatible, I think it was the m4...? It's mentioned in another recent thread. Just be sure to double check

Re: M14x R2 and crucial M4 msata
I'm waiting for feedback too. I've posted on the crucial forums with the same query but no response as yet. I'm hoping they're just been stamped as incompatible on the basis of being fairly new products so maybe there's been no official engineer tests?

M14x R2 & Crucial mSATA SSDs
There seems to be some misinformation going around in regard to the Crucial M4 mSATA SSDs. They Work... I believe the misinformation started because someone on crucial forums asked if they worked and no one ever responded and it got posted as a Discussion for the product type. Well I can confirm that they absolutely work beautifully.

There's even a video on YouTube of a guy putting an M4 in his M14x R2 and it works flawlessly. It's in hungarian, but you can see the SSD.

the 128GB & 256GB mSATA M4 SSD both work.
Kaldon
Allow me to quantify this. I have the 128GB M4 mSATA in my M14x R2, my best friend got the 256GB model. Neither of us have any issues.
Both the 128GB & 256GB models work flawlessly.

Re: M14x R2 and crucial M4 msata
I believe that the REAL question is: Are the Crucial M4, mSATA 128GB / 256GB micro SSD operating at CLASS III speeds NOT the slower CLASS II Speed.
Any benchmarks available proving they are operating within CLASS III speeds?
If not, we'll need a BIOS cracker.
