M14X laptop compatibility with External monitor

I have the M14X and recently bought a Benq 24xl240t monitor, but the M14X does not have a Dual link port, and am stuck as to what my options are, I see there is a VGA and a HDMI port as well as USB but no Dual link. Is there a way to use the dual link port, or is there a switch or box where I can work around

do i need to buy a display port cable to connect my laptop to the monitor?

the VGA port connects to my monitor at 60hz, sorry for the multiple posting lol

Not sure if just me , when I just VGA , it can't push up to 1080p , only DVI & HDMI able to push up to 1080p. (Tested on 3 different brand monitors)

Yea , it will work fine in 120hz if your monitor supports 120hz & 1080p.

But just let you know , not many games able to run around 120fps with high setting , but for normal browser movies etc you may able to reach 120hz caps.
