Default The keyboard and touchpad have made marks on my screen!

Since the beginning I've had lines on my screen. At first I thought they were just regular smudges but even after cleaning with Windex it didn't disappear. I tried alcohol on paper but to no avail.

Turns out they're caused by the outline at the end of the keyboard and touchpad since they line when closed. Anyone know how I can clean it up, it's really starting to bother me!

M14X Travel Tip - How to Prevent Screen Scratching

This happens with a great numbers of laptops. I can only caution you to use a ShaggyMac in the future.

And don't use windex ...it damages your screen as it contains alcohol. Use water or laptop-screen-solution (5$ online).

Also, don't use toilet paper, napkins or kleenex either since it has wood in it. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe.

Dont use hard chemicals to clean em out. if they are not disappearing with water, chances are they are permanent ( unfortunately)

Only thing you can do now is prevent them from happening again. I usually put a A4 sheet between lid and keyboard while closing the lid. This prevents physical contact of plastic on screen and keyboard.
