Re: 650M Preliminary Benchmarks = up to 67% faster than 555M
Very odd. I can see what you are talking about, but my guess is that Furmark is reading incorrectly. See MSI Afterburner shows the 969 Turbo and not 835. Not a Furmark expert, but both GPU-Z and Afterburner reflect the higher frequency.

Re: 650M Preliminary Benchmarks = up to 67% faster than 555M
hmm interesting. I tend to side with gpuz and afterburner as well because I have used them a lot in the past and they have always been 100% accurate. Wonder what hwinfo reads the clock speed at?
Edit: Could you try setting the "throttling speed" for a game or app and seeing what the FPS is, and then upping the clock speed and seeing if it changes?Last edited by bigtonyman; 16th May 2012 at 10:02 PM.

Re: 650M Preliminary Benchmarks = up to 67% faster than 555M
well i tend to believe furmark as it monitors the speed in real time, gpuz just reads what its set at not what it is performing at and i expect Afterburner does the same.
cause 745Mhz to 970Mhz is a massive jump and i would not expect it to be stable also it only gives 1fps more stock v OC on furmark benchmark. (and thats with the memory OC too which is probably the reason for the 1fps more)Last edited by Blair287; 17th May 2012 at 07:00 AM.

Well a good way to find out once and for all is to see if performance increases from overclocking the core.
The furmark screenshot with the OC gets more fps, but that's with memory overclocked as well.

Afterburner reads in real time. At least with my 460m it did. I think a 3dmark bench or something along those lines would show what's going on at the different speeds. Still loving what this 650m is capable of. Might have to pick pick one up to take with me on the go instead of my m17x.

Re: 650M Preliminary Benchmarks = up to 67% faster than 555M
My gt650m seem to clock back down to idle 405Mhz when runnin games and stuff after a restart it goes up and then down again after a few minuets its only at 45C, this is resulting in crap FPS now only just started happening.
It happens every time i run 3dmark11 first if i don't run this it appears to not throttle back.Last edited by Blair287; 17th May 2012 at 01:50 PM.

Re: 650M Preliminary Benchmarks = up to 67% faster than 555M
hmm maybe was OC i dont think it liked the 135+ core clock or the memory testing now
hmm try stressing you cpu and gpu at same time wont take long till gpu throttles down
