M14x Order Status Discussion

I got a call from them today saying mine would ship out within a day or two (that's what I was told yesterday too though...). So hopefully yours will get shipped soon King!

My status is shipped, but I have no tracking info yet. -stalks the dell site-

Got a call Wednesday afternoon...My order was delayed due to a shortage on wireless cards (Got the Killer) Got an email with a new EDD of 12 APR 2012. They rep told me it could be anytime though even an overnight thing, they just dont know when they could come in =( HOPEFULLY (i say that alot lol) It will FOR SURE come NLT the 12th. Kinda bummed but ive officially moved into the acceptance phase and im just gonna be patient. I want to just forget all about it now and be surprised when it shows up on my step one day lol

The plus side though is they waived the overnight charge so Next day shipping is free now. The rep told me he would be proactive and inform me anytime he sees a change. The customer service has been pretty good so far. Maybe they can work some more discounts for me

Ordered mine last week, Thursday 5th April - received a confirmation saying expected delivery was 27th April. Just received another email to say my m14x is shipping and is expected to be with me by 13th April. Pretty quick turnaround I thought - didn't even see it hit production status, and I did customise it a little (1600x900 screen, 256Gb SSD, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, 6Gb and for some reason, order appeared with 3Gb GPU mem although I didn't specify that after reading these forums).

Looking forward to seeing how well it performs compared to my current Acer 3820TG with the i5-480M and Radeon 6550M.

FINALLY got mine shipped! Just received an email earlier stating it was picked up in Nashville, TN! I will finally be enjoying my M14x TOMORROW!!

Ordered mine last week, Thursday 5th April - ... another email to say my m14x is shipping and is expected to be with me by 13th April. Pretty quick turnaround I thought -...

Well that's is unfair! I placed my order for my m14x on last Tues the 3rd with an expected delivery date (upgraded to 2 day shipping) of the 18th and it's been In Production since about 2 hours after I placed the order and still says the 18th.
Only customized a little with the screen and added bluetooth... I miss the days when Dell would ship even customized computers quickly!

Super... I just got a voicemail from Dell saying that the Nebula Red option is not available... So basically they've had my order for 9 days and done nothing at all with it and now tell me that I can only have the black version.
Trying not to hate on Dell/Alienware here but man - they suck

What year is this? I placed the order online but now that changes need to be made I have to talk to a Dell rep on the phone to complete the changes? Maybe their computers could be even cheaper if they didn't waste time and resources like this. So far the only notebook vendor I have consistently good experiences with is IBM/Lonovo, I really hope the M14x is worth all this!

Yeah well it took two weeks of "In Production" before they let me know that they didnt have the wireless card I ordered. So are they saying that they just dont have Nebula Red where its being built or that its completely off the table as an option???

I hear it is worth it btw. Ill be reporting on that more tomorrow =D

If you do talk to a rep, tell them you are not atall satisfied with the service, you might get some compensation =)
You would think the service would be good for the pricetag of these laptops, I ordered my m14x a week ago and it's still in pre production! The expected delivery date is 4th of may, i hope they are joking lol xD

The rep said that the Nebula Red won't be an option any more - I assume they're clearing out in prep for the R2...
I made it clear I was unhappy - especially when my estimated delivery was pushed to 4/26. They spent 9 days doing nothing on it and now I'm at the back of the line... and I have to get black which is alright but this is an Alienware, I wanted the flashy red case...

The only compensation I received was free overnight shipping - but they said they're giving that to everyone who ordered the M14x in red...

Update: Didn't arrive today - UPS shows tomorrow but it's taken a hell of a route.. from Shanghai, China to Incheon, Korea to Almaty,Kazakhstan to Warsaw,Poland to Cologne, Germany to Castle Donnington,England and up to Edinburgh in Scotland (about 70 miles from here). Hope it sent postcards from each stop

Well, put in the order yesterday after much consideration I had to go with the 14xr2, I had the m11x, which was perfect for travel, but time for an improvement. No update to the order yet, I am sure I wont see it even processed till monday. Just curious, its been a while since I had ordered from Alienware. My EDD is the 18th. Its being shipped to an APO address, I was hoping it would get there by the 30th. Any guesses?

I can remember when I ordered my m15x it took them around 3 weeks to get it to me. My m14xr2 I just ordered on April 20th says it wont get to me until may 25th? I'm not real sure what the hold up is (hopefully ivybridge lol).
