M14x Order Status Discussion

Here are my results:
Ordered: 3/24/12
EDD: 4/5/12
Shipped: 3/30/12
And it should be arriving on Monday (Unless FedEx overnight manages a miracle and gets it delivered tomorrow).

Now dealing with the agony of knowing my laptop will arrive while I'm at Work. Hmm may need to skip a class that day too

Well I gotta say im pretty Jealous. I ordered mine 3/24/12 with the same EDD (4/5/12) and mine has been "In Production" since 3/23/12 lol

Funny Thing happened Thursday afternoon though... Dell called me at Work and (save a few details) the call went like this..

"Hi im this is Dell customer service I just wanted to call and confirm your order with us. Im seeing that it should be out to you on Wednesday...now while we're talking I just want you to know that I am expediting your order and making sure that you get it on time. I am not seeing that it is completely built but it could still ship out over the weekend. Ill give you a call back on Tuesday to check on the status of your order, thanks."

So we shall see what happens I guess!

ALSO it should be noted that I paid using Paypal. No one ever posts payment method and I was just seeing if there was a noticeable difference. Since I paid the $25 for overnight I hope it ships today.

Tried contacting support to inquire about my production status. It's listed as in production still, but the rep said it had been shipped to the carrier. oO;

Ok according to the USPS Track and Confirm my package is in New Zealand and the "Custom Clearance" has appeared twice now. Does anyone know what that means?

I havent had any kind of luck. I wish they would actually give you the production stage its in (kitting,building,testing,boxing,shipping) But all it says online is In Production. I HOPE it ships today but the funny thing is, ive been waiting all this time in anticipation and the day its scheduled to be here.....ill be out of town! Thats my life lol Im just glad my dad will be there to accept it for me.

Also, the automated system sucks. Everytime I call it to check my status its just says "Order is processing) whomp whomp whomp

Im assuming that they check it twice. Once when it arrives and then again when its about to leave. That makes sense with it being an international shipment. They like to be thorough with these things.

Well I contacted them again today. They finally gave me a 50$ credit on my order and said that it should be shipping in the next 24-72 hours.. though it's still listed as in production. We'll see XD

Just checked my voicemail. Dell rep called yesterday to tell me my order is late because they were experiencing a part shortage on something but its not delayed AS OF RIGHT NOW (wth?) and if it goes past my EDD (which is TOMORROW the 5th) I will receive an email from Dell letting me know its delayed. . lol

Not too big of a deal seeing as how Ill be out of town until late tomorrow night but I hope hope hope its here on Friday. I cant go another full weekend waiting. Its taking all the excitement out of me getting my first Alienware =(

I got a call from them today saying mine would ship out within a day or two (that's what I was told yesterday too though...). So hopefully yours will get shipped soon King!

My status is shipped, but I have no tracking info yet. -stalks the dell site-

So my order status finally says 'Shipped'. I didn't get any emails for the tracking info yet and as opposed to giving me an EDD it says 'Order Shipped'. When it was still in the Production stages the EDD was April 13. Hopefully I get it a day or two earlier

hahahahaha. I was supposed to get my M14x today but due to it being Good Friday my package didn't arrive :'(. Hopefully I'll receive the laptop early tomorrow morning so i can tinker around with the laptop before work.
