Diablo 3 - Expectation
Hi,
I am a owner of a M11XR2 and i haven't played the Beta of D3 yet. I was wondering if someone tried it, did you have any problems running it ? Did you have to set the graphics to low ? Any issues ?
Thanks in advance,
Louis

Re: Diablo 3 - Expectation
On R3, I ran Diablo 3 beta on high rather comfortably.
The below statement is false.

Re: Diablo 3 - Expectation
Have an i7 R3 myself and it ran like a dog if shadows were on, shadow's are just an absolute no no if you want a smooth experience.
Like another user said here the game run's fine on high settings until you start running into a lot of monsters that's before your laptop has to start processing the other players around you.
For me it will be shadows off and ground clutter off that's what i found to be a stable 40-60 fps experience.

It's playable. Expect framerate drops with crowded mobs, lots of spell effects, or multiple characters on-screen. It seems playable though.

Its even comfortably playable in group on a M11x R1. All settings on low/off. Much bettet than the beta was.

Re: Diablo 3 - Expectation
Anyone encounter BSOD while playing Diablo 3 on R2? my wife has had it twice now while playing.
I'm on an R3 and playing fine so not sure what the problem could be, her machine is up to date with latest drivers.

Re: Diablo 3 - Expectation
im having some major issues playing in a group with the r3. it seems like the longer i play in a group, the worse the frame rate drops. after about 40 mins or so, in big battle areas the FPS is around 10-15, sometimes dipping below 10.
i have all settings on low or off, i tried multiple diff res' with not much help. updated drivers.
a little frustrated that this isnt handling the game right now. any tips?Alienware m11x R3, i7
