Thanks Ceuotc, I try to stay away from the doughnuts, but its just so hard, that place drains my money every time I go there.

Anyone have any recommendations for a bag? It doesn't have to be AW brand, just something that will make it easy to transport something this size.

Get the m11x neoprene official sleeve. I checked out the bag as well but the sleeve is very smart.

Fits perfectly in a draw string nike bag.

    +1 to Yiddo suggestion.

Aye the neoprene sleeve is good, it is a "little" tight at first, however once it has been fitted a few times, you get the knack.

    Good bit of kit.

    Regards.

I have a 13" STM scout laptop bag. It's the shizz! Tight cushioned fit and plenty of storage space in a surprisingly small package! I can fit my m11x, belkin cooling pad, samsung external DVD, razer deathadder mouse, razer n52te game pad, iPad and plenty of dvds. It isn't big or heavy in the slightest. Maybe a little pricey but well worth it. Plus it's goregeous!

Just curious, as another new owner of an R3, are there any tips to oolong the battery life? My R1's battery died completely after two years of decent use. Maybe that was due to being constantly overclocked in the BIOS?

I just want to make sure that I take care of my R3 battery as best as possible.

Really the best thing is to fully deplete the battery each time and recharge it this keeps it calibrated also. But these batteries are similar to netbooks in that they are hard wearing and the R3 battery is the hardest of the lot.

Batteries normally drain and wear when they are discharged too fast which is why big laptop always suffer with a battery that wears quickly this shouldn't have that problem. You don't really need to worry but if you want to save battery life turn off all the lighting and drum down the brightness and stick to the HD card instead of the 540M GT.

It is good to spoil yourself sometimes as other have mentioned.

I've had mine for months and every time I open it up I still have a great appreciate for the laptop (build; look; material).

alienware orion portfolio case<---my post with pictures of my R2 from another thread...
not only does it look super sleek and cool it ALSO flips inside/out to become a vented laptop tray with plenty of airflow from the mesh vent underneath. you can use it on a desk or on your lap without burning your thighs up. my R2 never leaves the portfolio case, i also don't have to worry about the little rubber feet falling off from constant use.
