Re: How to pinmod and further overclock the M11x R1 (SLG= Hardmod only)
317 is for 1900mhz, I didnt disable speedstep myself, also I always get the operating system not found error when I just do a reset, you have to cold reboot to make it work again, happens all the time when the pc restarts when overclocked with the setpll program, don't know why.
I'd make sure I blew it out good with some canned air, and maybe an electronic wash spray. I'll have to ask what my father used, he helped me with it. you could use a qtip, just make sure you dont leave any cotton on it after you clean it, and make sure no remnants of the pin are there.
I hope you have more luck, and I hope it all works out, sounds like you are getting closer.

Re: How to pinmod and further overclock the M11x R1 (SLG= Hardmod only)
I was able to OC again, this time to 317 BCLK, ran Intel Burn Test, and the system was stable. Tried to go higher and my system freezed, I had to hard reboot. After that I haven't been able to OC, even after rebooting 2 times. I'm going to try more, If im successful at OCing to 317, I will set a .bat
in the startup folder to have my laptop overclocked every time I boot.
Noticed something in the keyboard. I accidentally screwed the long screws into it. G, H, UP, and Esc were not working. Just applied pressure in between G and H, the problem was fixed. IDK if just me, I think it can be helpful for people with the same issue.

Re: How to pinmod and further overclock the M11x R1 (SLG= Hardmod only)
It is rewarding, and a pretty interesting thing to do. I had never done a pinmod in my life. Still having the same problem. TMA seems to be randomly locked/unlocked. May be the pin isn't completely disconected. My thoughts are that current could be struggling already to gget through, but I'm no expert at the matter.

Re: How to pinmod and further overclock the M11x R1 (SLG= Hardmod only)
I just ordered 8gb of the HyperX ram and will be attempting 2.0ghz mod on my SLG. I read through about 60-70 pages of this thread so far. What is the fastest that anyone has gotten on the SLG? I'm pretty good with a soldering iron and have done pin-mods like this before, but any suggestions other than that?

yeah dont ever put the long screws below the keyboard, use the short ones otherwise you will damage the keyboard. its a good thing you were able to fix it. yeah, I use 317 myself for 1.9ghz. Hope you can get it cleaned a little better, you might need to use a needle on it to pick at it a little more as well.

Yeah, with the pin mod and stock ram I don't even get a boot screen

Hopefully my new ram will be here today and I can try it.

Re: How to pinmod and further overclock the M11x R1 (SLG= Hardmod only)
Glad to say, it now works for me most of the times, at 1.7 Ghz, I can't seem to get higher speeds. Think it is because of the ram. I'm ggoing to leave it as that for now and try the GPU volt mod. Thanks for the help.
