    Default 8 beeps

    My computer wont boot up. When I press the start button the keyboard lihts up but the screen stay black and then it beeeps 8 times. I 've had the cmos battery out 20 min.Any help please?

    Time to phone Dell and get a new GPU. Mine did this not one week ago. They'll say it is a LCD problem but insist that it is a GPU failure. They'll replace both.

    did you overclock or repaste the gpu?

    Wait @scarlet did you get the 8 beeps after you fiddled with the modded A08 bios to try and turn off the iGPU? If so then try a blind bios recovery.

    Did you press and hold the power button for 25-30 seconds while the coin cell battery was out?

    I left the cmos battery out 20 min. and now it's fine Right after a Dell tech told me I need a new mobo. oh it was 5 beeps then a pause then 5 more and so on

    This is why I am not messing with mine. Optimus isn't great but it doesn't completely suck either, I see no reason to mess with it.
