Cheap web surfing and multimedia watching machine. I like it a lot running Vista in 'XP' mode.

Re: Any thoughts on a Aspire 3680?
Go to control panel, performance, and find 'adjust the apperance and performnance....' option and select the option for best performance. This turns most of the Vista interfaces off.
Desktop, personalize, select the 'Classic or standard interface'.
From any Folder, select Tools , Folder options, and choose 'use windows classic folders.'
Set Start Menu and taskbar options to 'classic'.
Each of those options have customization that you can add or delete functions as you like it.
With most of the Vista interface off after that, the machine is as fast as XP.Last edited by saturation; 11th May 2007 at 12:26 PM.
