Are you trying to upgrade the screen or replace a broken one?

If you're trying to upgrade, you'll have to do your homework to determine whether the screen you want to use will work.

If you're just replacing a broken screen with an identical model, the usual procedure (which may or may not apply to your computer) is:
    1. remove power (unplug AC, remove battery, press the power button a few times)
    2. remove the screw covers around the screen bezel (these may be the rubber bumpers around the bezel or just flat plastic stickers)
    3. remove the screen bezel (there are usually plastic clips around the outside edge, I usually use my fingernails and lift the bezel from the inside edge). Note that some computers have double sided tape to stick part of the bezel down.
    4. unscrew the lid of the notebook from the screen frame (if applicable, on some computers the lid is not attached to the screen frame)
    5. unplug the inverter cable and the screen cable (the screen cable is usually held in place with tape)
    6. unscrew the screen from the frame and remove the screen
    7. reverse the procedure to reassemble with the new screen. You may want to attach the cables and power up to test the screen before you completely reassemble the screen.

    yes - trying to upgrade.
I'm trying to do my homework, but it's hard. Seems that Acer is not willing to give any clue about it. Thought might be someone already tried
I don't have the Acer 5560G and that's part of the problem

Well how do you study your homework? I want also a better screen, Ips 1366x768, for my 4820tg. How can find if the new screen works with my laptop?

I guess nobody else is willing to jump in. Sorry, I can't be of help here because I don't have either of these computers and have never tried upgrading them. Having said that, at the least you're going to have to make sure the video cable in your computer will support the screen in question. I'm guessing you both want higher resolutions, but the problem is that some computers have video cables that don't have all the connections to support higher resolutions. You also have to check that the connector on the new screen is located in the same place as the original screen, or your cable may not reach.

Physically, as long as you get the correct size and aspect ratio screen for your computer, the new screen should be the same size as the existing screen, but I have no idea if the screw holes and mounting points are standard so the new screen's may not match your computer's.

Given all this, for junky77, since you don't have the computer yet I would suggest you pass on the 5560G and keep looking for a computer with the specs you want.

For forzakill, unless you're willing to be the guinea pig and try swapping screens based on guesswork, you're probably better off selling your computer and buying another that meets your requirements.
