    Default Acer 5520G sata II

    Hi there,

I flashed the modded bios so I can change the sata mode to ahci but then it won't boot. On bootup i see that the nvidia boot agent gives an error. After reboot the sata type is back to IDE and it boots.

How can I get my laptop into sata II mode so I can have full advantage of my sata II SSD. Right now it is locked to 1.5GB/S speeds instead of 3.0GB/s of speed.

Anyone that can help thank you in advance!

seems your using the optical bay sata port.

try using the actual sata port and use your hd in optical bay

Yeah did that and changed ahci mode in the register in windows. Doesnt work either. Its seems that i cant enable it.

I somehow got myself an extra option in bios called linux ahci (while i am running w7). That also doesnt make a difference
