Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
If you click through the photo galleries of the 11 inch machine and the 13 inch machine, you'll notice the 13 inch machine has a sticker or text on the bezel that says Full HD but the 11 inch machine doesn't. I wonder if Engadget got their facts wrong about both machines being full HD.
That 13 incher is a striking machine though. If this was out right now I'd have a hard time deciding between this and the Zenbook Prime.

You should check out the Samsung ... pick of the litter at Computex IMO in the 11.6" range. Samsung Series 5 Hybrid tablet features magnetic keyboard dock - Liliputing The 360 rotation on the S7 would have allowed it to be used as a table-top tablet and double as a decent notebook, in the same vein as the Lenovo Yoga. Acer engineers seem to incorporate new ideas in a half-assed way these days. One simple improvement and they would have had a real winner IMO. Samsung's engineers obviously thought so. Samsung Series 5 Ultra Convertible bends over backward to become a tablet - Liliputing Look out Taiwan, the Koreans are eating your lunch.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
Interesting. One issue I have with bend-backwards hybrid is the dead weight when you're reading PDFs. The transformer kind is better, however that also presents other challenges like moving the center of gravity down to the hinge. Then you'll have unequal weight distribution in tablet form. There's just a lot of challenges manufacturers are facing right now and what you get are trade offs. It will depend on what you can accept as usable until someone comes up with the perfect solution.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
This computer seems to have the potential to be a real super computer.
I found this on Acer Aspire S7: The first Windows 8ultrabook with Touch display | New and Best Gadget ""It Is actually confident, nonetheless, that there are a great onboard configurzione Ivy Bridge together with no less than 8 Gigabyte regarding Ram memory DDR3 1600/1333, 128 or perhaps 256 GB SSD and also incorporated graphics chip.""
I'm not English speaking but it sounds like they are quite sure/confident that there is 8 GB RAM and dedicated graphics. I don't know how they can belive that.
What do you think, can it really be true. Sounds to good to be true.
Have one questian. In the video he says that it will be integrated graphic. Do you think that he mean that the battery not can be replaced, or is it propably?
Most beautifull computer I have seen I think

Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
Nothing new on the computer? Very curious about the specs. Specially if there is more than 4 GB RAM and if there is dedicated graphics card.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
I *really* *really* doubt there's any dedicated graphics being that thin, but we shall see in time.

Re: Acer Aspire S7 Ultrabooks
Windows 8's official release date is October 26th, I believe. I doubt dedicated graphics as well.
