Those are some HIGH idle temps! My gpu idles at 45celsius, and under load at most 65celsius. I with check the CPU sensor but it sounds like you might have a serious problem.

As far as adding memory, take the back panel off, the large one. Its difficult to do, you almost need to use a flat head screw driver to pry it up it spots. Once off, you will see an empty slot for your new ram stick. Make sure the tab/pins align correctly and push the card it towards the slot at about a 45degree angle, it should seat into the teeth. Next, lay the card down towards the board, there are two metal arms that will catch and hold the ram at the notches on each side.

Yes idle cpu temps are too much, gpu temp like yours.

Please can you check with CPUID HW Monitor and post your temps? Thank you

For those of you who bought this laptop from Tigerdirect (i5-2450m), can you guys tell me if your touchpad is Synaptics or Elantech?

I second that! I have GPU 6650m clocked at 700/950 with OverDrive and very happy with what I have. Not going to mess with CPU i5-2430m, TurboBoost seems to work fine.

Did a complete reinstall of Windows 7, and the Leshcat drivers install fine, with the exception of an option to also install the CCC, so I can't choose what programs use the GPU. I tried installing the CCC from the latest official Acer driverset, and it gives me all of the options except switchable graphics options. Although the option is there in the right click menu on the Windows desktop, it brings me to a page with a link to the AMD website.

I wonder what is stopping the driver package from picking up the CCC included with his 12.3 Up2 set???

EDIT: BOOM! Installed the CCC from the 4/18 package. Switchable graphics is a full GO!

I would like to try use intel HD graphics, but i don't have options at ccc.
Also device manager shows only Radeon HD6650m. Is there any possibility run my system with Intel HD? ( bios ?)
