Lol in BF3 i get low 20's using "auto" graphics settings which is almost all high. Depressing.

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
Well, i should have noted that was with the native res of 1600x900. I lowered res from 1900x600 to 1280x768 which is what everyone with the Asus would have been using and with everything on auto-high 8xAA 16xAF i was still getting like 35-50fps. I'll probably mess around with it a bit tonight to see what i can get.
I don't pay close enough attention to drivers and gaming stuff to know what the best display driver is... so any recommendations are welcome lol.

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
Got mine but don't have time to do anything until around 9P EST =/
Put the SSD in the main bay & the bluetooth wifi card I purchased for the ASUS, and the 8gb ram from the ASUS in it..
I really like the bottom plate. I couldn't figure out how to remove the optical, so I just pulled on it to try... & it came out. Then I realized the screw was on the bottom plate, which is super convenient!
Nice to have a better webcam & sound! The keyboard is fine.
Anyway, I put Win 7 Ult on it & it didn't pick up the wifi card straight away, so I'll have some work tonight. I took the card that came in it & popped it into the ASUS with no probs. Get's better range then the bt card..
Thankfully I have a dremel with tons of bits & also the optical caddy looks like it'll work just fine too.. so what I'm going to do is SSD, SSD, HDD in the optical or wherever safest & coolest operating place would be for the HDD. The HDD will be the one from the ASUS since I hate selling used HDDs for ID protection.
I was really confused when I saw how many open spots inside... specifically the empty memory bay.. I couldn't figure out what went in there until I moved the memory over & couldn't find a second slot in the one section.
I'm also a fan of the bottom plate because the screws don't come out, which is handy!

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
FYI messing with settings i was getting steady 30-40's on 1280x768... 1600x900 probably isn't going to happen. For those of you who play bf3 more and know what's the best "playable" settings please let me know.
