Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
Does anyone have any pictures of what needs to be removed with a Dremmel to get the 2nd hdd to fit? I'm looking at my SSD drive and I'm looking at the space in the 2nd hdd bay and I don't see how I could remove enough to get the SSD drive to fit.

This looks like the best bang for the buck, who is selling these online right now?

I was thinking that it wasn't the bay itself that needs alterning, but the plastic panel that coverage the entire unit needs to be cut to allow for the extra depth the 2nd hdd needs. Just guessing here.
As far as I know, the tigerdirect links that have already been posted in this thread are expired, not sure what the current price is.

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
Depends on the model you got. My 7750G wouldn't fit my SSD in after removing the plastic, so I had to take the SSD out of the casing and just put it in like that.
If you do want to remove the plastic, you can grab a pair of pliers and just snap the plastic out. I know, it sounds really rough, but it snaps off really cleanly. No need for a dremel.Acer 7750G-2634, i7-2630QM, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 6650M OC'd to 750/950, 120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD + 750GB HDD

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
Strange your Travelmate is so noisy, I don't have the problem with the Aspire 7750G. Mine is essentially silent when not playing intense games. Wondering if it is something with your drivers or BIOS. Is the Travelmate cooling design much different from the Aspire?
Does MSI Afterburner not allow you to adjust fan speed?Acer 7750G-6669 i5-2430m with AMD 6650m Graphics

Re: Acer Aspire 7750g Owner's Thread
I must explain the problem.
Updated measuring utilities. Now Core Temp and Throttlestop show same and hope right temperature. Min 40°C and max 57° when use internet. Cpu fan turn on when cpu core reaching 50° C and shut down when ~45°C. Looks nice.
Mainly problem is, that procedure with turn on and turn off cpu fan become 2x-4x in 1 minute and that is annoying.Alienware M17x R3, i7 2670QM, 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333, AMD FirePro M8900, SSD Crucial M4 256GB, SAMSUNG Spinpoint M8 1TB, external WD Passport portable 2TB USB 3.0, also few Acer's 7730G for repair or broken ;-) .
