Default Aspire 8935G CPU/GPU UPGRADE SUCCESS!

Hi everyone, just to let all those with an aspire 8935g know that I've managed to successfully upgrade the CPU and GPU from Q9000 to QX9200, and ati to GTS 250m after a nightmare getting those drivers to work. I've done some testing with 3Mark and memtest but still undergoing so will let you know how stable this thing is, but at the moment its beutiful. I will also post a work log with images soon.

Hi Meaker, yes believe it or not I don't know how but it worked, even I was amazed I didn't think it would. I updated the bios first though with acers original V3212. I had to reset the cmos battery after it didn't fire up first, I think it can be overclocked aswell using throttlestop ;-p

I get the feeling now that maybe even a QX9300 could be a shot ;-) or maybe not

No point really. What's an extra 0.5 multi to an unlocked CPU?

yea ur right, besides I'll use throttlestop and try get most out of this q9200. The temps right now are excellent even under load, (around 37 C) looks like arctic silver done a good job.

I wonder if an 8940g motherboard uses the same layout!

Hey, it's been some time since your post and I probably shouldn't get my hopes up you still work with your 8935g?... But I've tried so much yet and cant upgrade my graphics, gts250m never got to work, the bios says something about 24mb (roundabout) of ram on the card... and windows (8) wont let me install drivers, when i forced it, i nearly broke the system.

If you got some time, i'd be really grateful to hear in short what you did (in bios / drivers) to get the 250m to work. thanks a lot in advance.
