Default Acer Orbicam with Logitech Software!

I don't know if this has been done yet, but I have managed to install the orbicam using logitech software instead of acer. I am still trying to figure out if i can speed up the camera while still MAINTAINING low light boost!

    Ill keep this thread updated

Unless you live in a cave, just turn on a light and adjust the brightness in the Orbicam options, and you should be fine :P

Set gain and shutter speed manually.

I've just downloaded and installed the Logitech Imagestudio, Gallery and drivers on my 5672. It recognizes the camera as an Acer Orbicam. The Logitech Camera Controls and Driver Settings are more configurable that the Acer ones.

I have installed the latest logitech qc1050 software on my 8204 with Vista RTM. It seems to work fine and detects the cam as a AcerOrbicam. I have not played with it too much but the cam works on yahoo messenger and did not before with the Vista drivers for the orbicam. The download link for the logitech software is here

I got the orbicam to work on my Acer 5635, so the below should also work on the 5630.

Download Orbicam drivers - Logitech Camera Driver 9.4.4.1084a
    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers...5620_5670.html

    Also download Logitech Image Studio
    http://www.logitech.com/pub/techsupp...m/is730enu.exe

Install the driver first and then Image Studio.

To get the camera working, as inidcated in another thread (I cant install the camera on my 5672)
You will need to do a search and replace all on the lv321.inf file (in CCD.zip) in notepad to get Image Studio to work
    Edit, Replace
    Find what: 0892
    Replace with: 0896

    good luck.
