First, you should not just compress the file - you need to make the crisis disk using the Wincris utility (make sure you enable the compression feature in Wincris). A hand-crafted recovery disk will never work with Phoenix BIOS.
Once that is done, do the following:
1. Disconnect the battery and the charger.
2. Plug in the USB floppy drive, with the crisis disk inside.
3. Press and hold Fn+Esc.
4. Plug in the charger.
5. Still holding Fn+Esc, press the power button. Fan should spin up.
6. Release Fn+Esc and wait until the computer shuts down or reboots.
