Acer Aspire
Hello I had a Acer laptop before and it was a bad laptop gave alot of trouble it was one of the first Vista models. I think most of the problems was related to Vista. I want go into all those details I swore I would never buy another Acer. But after seeing this deal at Wal-Mart
Walmart.com: Acer Black 17.3" AS7551-7422 Laptop PC with AMD Phenom II X4 Quad-Core N970 Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium: Computers
That is hard to turn down. A Quad core AMD processor for $478.00. That is really a good price. I have some questions. Where can I find out the video card onfo? Is it 512 MB video or 1 GB? Also does acer still half there harddrives? I mean my vista laptop had a 120 GB drive split into 2 partitions and a recovery was hidden. That 120 Gb split in 2 made my C have only like 52 GB That was not good for Vista. Really no big deal with 500 GB though but I rather have the 500 GB with whatever used for recovery. These are just some things that concern me. If the drive is split I had an issue before I deleted the D (DATA) to expand my C and then one day I needed to run eRecovery but it was gone because it was tied to the D drive that I had deleted and that was not good. I am just scared I will have another bad experence but I am, willing to give Acer another try if things look good.
Thanks

Re: Acer Aspire
These days there is only one partition on Acer notebooks.
As for the graphics- this notebook uses an integrated graphics so it doesn't matter if it uses 512MB or 1GB of system RAM as video memory- it's gonna be useless for gaming anyway.
If you want something with a dedicated card you need a notebook with "G" at the end i.e. Aspire 7551G.
