If i select SLG5SP513V it just gives me the PLL ID Error.
    Any suggestions?
Try to use older version of setfsb?

I have question - are you able to change a voltage of videocard? I used EVGA Precission, but I can`t change voltage on it.
no i also couldnt change vcore of the gpu...

but the clock issue thing sucks...

I don`t use this software, because I don`t overclock my CPU. Try to use older version of setfsb.

    I´ve now tried versions:
    2.2.115.87
    2.2.128.94
    2.2.129.95
    2.2.133.97
    2.2.134.98
    2.3.173

Not working at all. Any suggestions?

    Edit:

I was just looking for either a T9900, T9800 or T9600. If I´d order one on ebay, i have to make sure that it´s for 479-pin micro-BGA479 and NOT for 478-pin micro-FCPGA, right?

Someone had the same question before and my previous post pretty much tells it all:

i always had this issue but now i am trying to solve that. as you might know, the gt240m has the power(clock) states (i will only list core clocks, shader/memory clock and vcore change proportionally): 135MHz, 405MHz and the full 550Mhz (or whatever you overclocked it to)

the problem is, if you go from high performance (on AC) to power saver (on Battery) by jsut plugging off your AC, the graphics card is clocking down to a maximum of the 405mhz. Thats ok, on battery i want to save power. Same thing happens even in high performance on ac when pressing the energy saver button to the right rear of the laptop. OK so far

the problem is, once it clocked down, it wont get full clock speed again, REGARDLESS of what you do (pressing buttons, changing profiles, changing battery,....) so sometimes I plug out the AC (running on battery) to transport my laptop, then I want to play with AC back up again, but I get low framerates jsut because the damn card is limited to 405Mhz. Also EVGA Precision or any other tools fail, profiles are applied but no change in clock speeds.

Same thing happens btw if the graphics driver is restored (e.g. too much OC/heat), then its also limited to 405mhz

The only thing you can do is to restart your laptop...

    Any1 a solution to this?
    Driver related?

    2 factors:

    1. Your CPU runs out of voltage limit and that's the cause.
    2. You don't have modded BIOS installed. I were unable to overclock without it.

Thanks, that helps a lot. But if I can get my hands on a SLGKH for a comparatively small price, is it worth the risk? It is pre-tested, which frankly doesn´t tell anything about its compatibility to the Aspire 5739g. But luckily, I live in Germany, where we can send back any items bought from online shops for 2 weeks and get our money back, it´s a law here. Especially under these circumstances, worth the risk? Thanks again, your help is appreciated!

    1. Could you please elaborate on that? Simply said, does it mean a P7450 is just not build for overclocking - or more exactly, MY P7450 is just not overclockable?
    2. I have your modded BIOS installed and changed all settings in it according to your guide.

kein ding, mach ich doch gerne; oha ein landsmann hier

    (back to english)

sure SLGKH will work. The point is if a pin isnt soldered well it may break and that could possibly lead to the destruction of the cpu. no one knows how stable these pins are when it comes to temperature changes or mechanical force as they are added in small private factories.
also I wouldnt rely on that law, if you buy from foreign countries and want your money back its very often alot of stress to make things clear, especially when its an asian country/china
thats definetely not racist but indeed the case. I lost 70$ once at something like this, you cant do anything.
TBH, when I bought my T9900 I also ran the risk of maybe losing money...but in the end things went well (even if cpu was wrapped in non-antistatic plastic foil, I nearly had an heart attack when opening it)
Also I dont think the 2 weeks are covered by foreign shops, or where are you buying it from?

I mean you can give it a shot, its your choice. But I/we have warned you, it may run well without any problems or not.

    Hallo

I think it´s worth the risk as cheap T9900s become even more rare in the future. That´s why I just ordered it. Delivery will take up to 12 working days but i´m already restless. So i build a very cheap notebook cooling pad on my own. If anyone´s interested, i could post photos of it. Had a temperature drop of about 5°C running Prime95, but the pad is not yet fully finished.I expect 3-5°C less, when it´s done I hope this will reduce the risk of running a SLGKH.
