I bought new antennas, 3 pack. Seller says those give much better range, I want to belive but I'm tbh sure they don't make a diffrence. I'm upgrade to Intel 6300 with 3 antennas. I'll compare against my HP, I also have 6300 in my HP with 3 antennas.

Before installing Windows 7 btw, I'm updating to unlocked BIOS...

Three antennas don't make any difference compared to two antennas unless you have a 450mbps capable router in which case you're capable of achieving this speed.
Intel 6300 is sort of future-proof because of that and if you are willing to spend some serious money on a Linksys E4200 you are going to see the difference.

you'll have to take the whole thing apart, since the cable is attached to the screen if you need disassembly instructions, i can email it to you. it's not hard at all, just be careful with how much torque you use to fasten the screws.

It's more dependent on a router/AP than on a client but Intel 5100 is a constant source of trouble so 6300 will undoubtedly perform better.

And my new Acer did came with Intel 5100. So, I'm upgrading to 6300, and when I first have started, I can also take the screen apart and add a 3th antenna

take a video or take pictures on how to dissemble the screen. im interested.
Also my cpu idles at 35C without any mods. so with mods I think I can take it down lower. Havent received my 8435 yet tho.
6770M idles at 55-58 and 68-72C on load

I recently replaced my fan with a sunon one. Sunon works much better.
