Re: Hiya go another offer for my 6920g for Toshiba 650
You mean Toshiba L650?
i5 isn't Quad core, its a 2 core with 4 thread.
Which ATi? It could come with HD5145 or HD5650.
If its HD5650, it would be better deal.Acer Aspire 5551 ANWXCi

Re: Hiya go another offer for my 6920g for Toshiba 650
The Core i5 and i7 series have a feature called "hyper-threading." This means that each physical core will show up in Windows as two virtual ones. Pretty awesome for multi-tasking.
The Core i5 also has a function called Turbo Boost that overclocks one core by a few hundred MHz automatically if the other core is idle.
Get more info, then check back here.
And the T9300 is at 2.5 GHz - gotta remember that.Sorry if I'm not around too often - life seems to have gotten in the way of NBR.

Re: Hiya go another offer for my 6920g for Toshiba 650
ok i found out that it was only 2 cores with hyper threading.
but the graphics is only intel chipset...
so what you think?
i know this mite not be nice but the other guy dont know much about laptops. so if i could i take out the nvidia 9500m gs. and the screen still works on the orginal chipset? and also i can put in my old CPU 5800 or something like that
and what are the chances of the toshiba laptop having a graphics slot?

Re: Hiya go another offer for my 6920g for Toshiba 650
None- Toshiba won't have an MXM slot and 6920 won't work without its MXM card. Overall it's not an upgrade.
You'd be better off upgrading you MXM card- that’s if you're into gaming.
If not leave it as it is IMO.
