The latest 12.1 v2.7 drivers caused my laptop to boot up with a black screen in switchable mode. In discrete mode Device Manager shows that both drivers were not installed. I removed the old driver using the cleaner packaged with the installer before installing 12.1. Either way, I'm rolling it back to the original 12.1 driver until 12.2/12.3 WHQL is released.

the pre-WHQL is quite stable of 12.3 but i still cant install sp1, do i need to go back to the original Acer drivers to update to SP1? I had this problem with the 11.2 drivers i think.

Download the full SP1 installer (link here) and install the one for your system directly. There shouldn't be anything to worry about so long as your drivers are not within the affected versions.

    Hi,
I've bought the Crucial M4 256Gb but it has some problems.
After a crash, the bios doesn't recognize the ssd.
None has this ssd in the Acer 3820tg? Because i suspect an incompatibility.

Thank you and sorry for my bad english
    p.s. God bless google translator

I have that exact ssd with the laptop and it runs without a hitch. I even updated it to the last firmware.

Despite a bit lock-up due to me screwing up the reboot order, once I overcame my own idiocy it runs fine. Well, better than fine, I'm ssd addicted now

Oh god I want an SSD now and an IPS screen.

Maybe I should wait for AMD Trinity laptops... gah!

anyone lucky enough to have an insanely fast internet connection and already have windows 8? If so what drivers play nice with our laptop? Do the touchpad drivers work? Do the graphics play nice?

I only installed it on VirtualBox so I don't know what drivers work. I do know however that the Intel drivers have been expressly forbidden from being installed on Windows 8 as per the driver inf file.

    Hello.

I have a problem with keyboard. I need to press some keys multiple times to "register" them. For example Caps Lock, "5", "6", "7".

Pressing some other keys is sometimes registering double. For example sometimes when I press "h" it shows "hh" in text editor.

I bet this is hardware problem. Has it been encountered before? Is there a fix known? Do I need to buy new keyboard?

I tried simple cleaning it (without removing it from laptop) with tissues, cotton swabs. It's clean from the outside. I never spilled anything or something like that.

    Sorry for my poor English.

Try cleaning and reseating the keyboard cable.
