Hi. If you're interested in the newest ATI drivers on your 3820, you can try this:
leshcat blog IT Tips & Tricks: MultiX: Catalyst 11.10 WHQL UnifL for Switchable Graphics
The developer says that it's been tested on 3820 with no problem, but it didn't work perfectly for me... I can't adjust Brightness and intel HD fails to play flash video... But if 3 - 5 people confirm this bug on 3820 he'll look into it...
    Hope it will work...

I think you are wrong. Take a look (it's a german site, sorry):

    Speicher/SO-DIMM DDR3 204pin 1066MHz | Geizhals.at Deutschland

only 6 of 61 1066MHz ram modules are CL 9. The rest is CL 7...

Oops. It should be CL7 because of how JEDEC profiles work, standard is 1066MHz @ 7-7-7-20. My bad

Those of you disappointed in the 3830TG and wondering what you were going to replace your aging Acers with, it looks like LG has released the P330 in Korea. It looks incredible. Stock model looks to have I5-450M CPU and GT 555M GPU. Display looks like LG's new thin bezel design. Can't tell if it is IPS but it was supposto be. Resolution is only HD. USB 3.0. No idea on price. It looks like one beautiful notebook but we will have to see how LG deals with the Fermi's heat. G¸¶ÄÏ - ¡ÚLG XNOTE 11¿ù NEW¡ÚP330-UE40K¡Ú5½ÃÀÌÀü´çÀϹ߼ۡÚÅùè...

You could say that. On the other hand, I've noticed that the price difference between 2x4GB Corsair 1066-7-7-7-20 and Corsair 1333-9-9-9-24 (JEDEC@1066 is also 7-7-7-20) is less than €1 so I'm gonna go with the 1333 ones

Choose automatic. It will automatically negotiate 1Gbps if it is supported. It's like that because of the IEEE spec which doesn't allow for 1Gbps option. As far as I know, only Intel has fudged with that spec and gave a 1Gbps option.

too456 is right. If you don't end up with 1Gbps it's either because the switch in your networking device doesn't support that speed or because you're not using the proper cable (Cat 5e as a minimum).
