It works on the 3820tg (you need to dremel a small part of the VGA otherwise they don't fit side by side ^^ )
it should work as well on the 3830tg

    Acer TimelineX 3820tg (13,3'') - i5-480m - AMD 6550 (1Gb) - 8Gb ddr3 - 120GB OCZ Vertex 2 ... 8 hours of joy on 6 cells

You actually told me may posts ago how to corrrect this. You do what is suggested above but also this:

I did have the same problem, and here is the solution:
I did my color profile using i1displayLT. working for a few seconds ok, then resetting. The thing is, your Intel graphics has an app, that over rides this.

open start meni, run "msconfig" and on the tab named "startup" untick three Intel links "Intel(R) Common User Interface", that are started upon booting.

Reboot and that is it. Your color profile should be the right one, all the time
tested on DELL Latitude D620 with 945GM chipset/ graphics.

    Good luck!
    and this:

    Small update:

You only need to remove igfxpers.exe, not all 3.

    Thanks Nejc
    it worked for me.

You can just call Acer and get one shipped to you...

If you can't PM me a price..

Edit: the Wear level went up to 5.9% on my Sanyo. :/ Batterybar is saying I have 7 hours and 38 min life though.

Well, I guess this is country-specific. In Germany, they will never send you spare parts at home as disassembling the machine will void the warranty. Therefore, the battery gets exchanged in the german service center only.
    Current systems:
    Lenovo Thinkpad X200s | 12.1" (1280x800) | Intel Core2Duo SL9400 @ 1.86ghz | Intel X4500 HD | 2GB DDR3 | 60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD | 1.2 kg.
    Acer Aspire 5742g | 15.6" (1366 x 768) | Core i5-M460 @ 2.5ghz | Nvidia GeForce 540m | 8GB DDR3 | 500GB HDD | 2.5 kg.

    Notebook history:
Apple Macbook Pro, Early 2011 | Acer Aspire 3830TG | IBM Thinkpad T61

Did they say it would void the warranty? BTW, I went to my Staples to see what they could do for me. He didn't really seem interested in providing options. Sounds like return it or keep it. Did tell me its going on sale again next week for $499, but I wouldn't buy it at that price. I'm going to muck around a bit more with the lappie then give Acer a call on Monday. My wear actually dropped a bit to 10.9 I think the issue is the 'smart' battery to the motherboard...which wouldn't be a problem unless it thinks the battery really is low and shuts the thing down.

BTW, yours is the first Sanyo I've heard getting wear in the first week. Discouraging.

    First day...

BTW you could always exchange it and you'd still have 7 days (from today) to return it... (you can exchange/return it as many times as you want within the first 14 days as long as there is something wrong with it.).

Naw. Other than the battery issue, which is huge, mine is okay (not great but okay). I'd definitely want those 14 days to check out a new one if it had the Sanyo battery to make sure everything else is okay. If it had the Panasonic, I'd return it the same day.

It didn't seem like yours was okay... Red tint, crap battery and annoying dead pixel in the middle of the screen...
