    Default Acer 5742ZG

    hey guys i have an acer 5742ZG with a P6100 CPU and as far as i know this CPU has an intel HD card, the problem is that i cant find a way sto swtich between the intel hd card and the ati 5470 card, im only able to have the ati card selected, i dont have the option in the bios or in windows...

    the specs are below


    CPU: Intel P6100
    GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon 5470
    RAM: 4GB DDR3 1066
    HDD: WD 320 GB 5400 RPM

    is there a way to mod this bios to see if there is any hidden menus?

    this laptop uses the insydeh2o bios.

    With Insyde H2O BIOS you can't really hope for a mod and apart from that even in Aspire 5740G that has been released almost a year ago and uses modable Phoenix BIOS no one was able to make switchable graphics work yet.

    Most likely no. It's tougher to mod the InsydeH20 BIOS than the Phoenix BIOS. As mentioned before, the 5740G laptop is a very popular laptop and it still has not been successfully modded to support switchable graphics.

    Unfortunately I have to agree with aylafan- chances are very slim and that's an optimistic prediction.
