Re: Acer TimelineX 3820TG Owners Lounge. Info, benchmarks, tweaks, mods and upgrades
1) As seen in the pictures above I posted in my last message. The both modules seem to have different max bandwidth values. Does this cause instability ?
2) Would any 2gb 1066mhz ddr3 would match Nanaya manufactured 2 gbs in my machine ? For what should I be aware of ? I have this in mind :

Re: Acer TimelineX 3820TG Owners Lounge. Info, benchmarks, tweaks, mods and upgrades
Guys,
I've noticed that the usable memory on my 3820TG differs from the actual memory. Now this is understandable if I'm on the Intel graphics, but I'm currently on the ATI discrete. Google search has left me blank, and who better to ask then fellow 3820TG'ers.
I'm on a clean Win7 Pro 64bit install, and can't recall what was displayed on the original Acer image. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? Pic attached.

For the OC'ers,
What's the toll on the battery life OC'ing the i3-370M. Noticeable?

As far as I know the intel graphics is always on...I think its on the CPU so that will always be used....there seems to be a price drop in RAM...saw 8GB for €127 on crucial.com....is crucial RAM good?

Re: Acer TimelineX 3820TG Owners Lounge. Info, benchmarks, tweaks, mods and upgrades
I have never really done any gaming on my 3820TG since it's a work unit (they frown upon loading games on our units) but I had to see how MOH ran on my new I3. OMG is all I can say. I can't believe how well this little I3 handles MOH. I normally play MOH on my desktop I7-930/HD 5870 (Asus factory OC'd) and the Acer plays the game just as smoothly. The 3D graphics are incredible as well. The display really handles its own.

Also I know the i5 CPU only utilizes the 1066mhz RAM but would the 1333mhz work too?
