Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
I sent them an email requesting info on this update.
Another oddie of the update is it's almost 2.4mb in size compared to the 1.7mb of the other bios.
The rom file itself is quite large, there must have been some changes.

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
I give up with Acer support.
They won't give me any information as my warranty is out *rolls eyes*.
The kept giving me details how to update my bios, not what i asked for.

Y'know, some days I would love to just use Acer's paid support to ask them questions like this...and to rub the fact that WE fixed THEIR throttling problem in their faces.
Sorry if I'm not around too often - life seems to have gotten in the way of NBR.

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
I just ran through Left 4 Dead an entire map and no throttle, nothing at all.
Everytime I do this it always has for me.
almost one hour no throttle, CPU went just a bit over 40C with left 4 dead now.
