    Default Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released

    Unless I missed this, I did a search.

    But an new bios is up on the Acer support listed as version 1.16V?

    I checked out the file but nothing listed and documentation?

    Any ideas?

    I sent them an email requesting info on this update.

    Another oddie of the update is it's almost 2.4mb in size compared to the 1.7mb of the other bios.

    The rom file itself is quite large, there must have been some changes.

    I give up with Acer support.

    They won't give me any information as my warranty is out *rolls eyes*.

    The kept giving me details how to update my bios, not what i asked for.

    Did you ask the right question?
    You should ask for the changelog.

    Y'know, some days I would love to just use Acer's paid support to ask them questions like this...and to rub the fact that WE fixed THEIR throttling problem in their faces.
    Sorry if I'm not around too often - life seems to have gotten in the way of NBR.

    So far so good with the new bios, my CPU is sitting aroud 31C. I'm play Stalker 2009 complete with no Throttle.

    ThrottleStop is off.

    20 mintunes and counting.

    40 mintunes the CPU never reached higher then 35C playing Stalker.

    Going to try left for dead, that always caused it for me

    I just ran through Left 4 Dead an entire map and no throttle, nothing at all.

    Everytime I do this it always has for me.

    almost one hour no throttle, CPU went just a bit over 40C with left 4 dead now.
