Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
@TehSuigi, i have a question. when playing borderlands for a while, the temp reaches about 67 for gpu and 55 for cpu. now i notice an fps decrease and notice that the gpu clocks decreased to about half of their values. so exit borderlands, start it again, and the problem is fixed. do you think this is game related?

Not sure, I don't play Borderlands.
But a cut in half might mean GPU throttling or PowerMizer kicking in unnecessarily. Double-check your temps again, perhaps?Sorry if I'm not around too often - life seems to have gotten in the way of NBR.

lowered the clocks to 625/1425/475 and it seems to work fine.
weird thing is with orthos+furmark, the clocks stayed high even higher temps.Y580

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
Bios 1.16 seems to have gone from acer.co.uk support.
Should i be worried? Has it been recalled?
I went ahead and updated in a hope it would resolve a few issues i had and all works as it should.
The fact that the latest bios is now 1.14 is a bit worrying. Anyone shed any light please.?

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
i don't know, but you can always install 1.14 again.
i think it is possible that they had a lot of people asking what's new about the 1.16 version that they decided to take it down.Y580

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
It was pulled from all there support sites.
As I stated we have seen massive issues with 1.16v such as snowing on the screen as the big one.
Rollback to 1.14v nothing should happen that could be harmful if you do that.

So I should leave my BIOS as is? 1.16 is not safe or something?

Re: Acer 6920G Bios Updated 1.16v released
Please could someone post a link of the 1.16bios update as I seem to only be able to find 1.10 on the ACER website.
Also can anyone confirm if this is ok to run on Windows 7 64 bit?
