Re: Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Thread
So you're saying the SL9400 is less power consuming? It's not >_>.
And if you typo'd, yes I can compare them because we were talking about power consumption and battery life, irregardless of the power you gain for any trade offs; I never said there wasn't a worthy trade off for Core i performance, that's up to your own personal preference.

Re: Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Thread
The comparison has to be done in this way: comparing the life of the same battery in the same tasks of a SU9600+gs45+ddr3 to an i7 or i5 with same or similar performances... Other words, speculations, techincal data etc.. are just unuseful. That's it.

Re: Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Thread
TDP is not accurate in determining power consumption. Off the bat arrandale processors sucks down more amps than its predecessor.

Re: Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Thread
Jesus I didn't spend a whole post addressing this or anything...
@zooster, if they were at similar or same performances then there would not be a comparison at all, there would not be a need for a new generation of computers or processors at all...And my comparisons were there battery lives in the same tasks.
