The module is the 3G modem. If your machine was 3G enabled You would know it was there.

As lmorrison17 said that's only the sim holder. Look carefully if there's enough room to fit that sim pack in the case. I have an 1810tz and that will not fit in the case. It adds too much thickness over the 3G module and the lid won't close.

It depends, it needs to be of half height mini-pcie type module.
